DOULA SUPPORT FOR EXPATS
You don’t have to navigate pregnancy and birth in a foreign country alone.
Giving birth in a country that is not your own can be an emotional and sometimes challenging adventure. I know this from personal experience. I lived in Chile for two years and was pregnant while there. I experienced first-hand how differently pregnancy, birth and motherhood can be approached across cultures.
When you are living abroad, you may also have a smaller social network around you. Without family or close friends to turn to as well as navigating pregnancy and birth in another language can add another layer to an already life-changing experience.
That is why I also offer doula support in English. Over the years, I have supported many expat women and their partners during pregnancy and birth.
Whether you are new to the Netherlands or simply feel more comfortable expressing yourself in English, you are very welcome. I offer a safe, personal and non-judgmental space where you can ask questions, explore your wishes and prepare for your birth with confidence and care.
